You just knew I couldn&#8217;t plan a vacation without a geek moment!<\/p>\n<p>First stop&#8230;Belgium&#8230;where I plan to soak in the ambiance and spend deliciously lazy days with my sweetheart&#8230;then off to London for a conference at the Tate Modern, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.museumsassociation.org\/events\/12183&#038;_IXPOS_=maevent1\">Help at Hand<\/a>.  And as luck would have it, I&#8217;ll be in town just long enough to meet up with the folks headed to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vivabit.com\/atmedia2006\/\">@Media<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/notmedia.kurafire.net\/\">NotMedia<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On my list of important things to do:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Buy <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/people\/mattrobin\/\">Matt Robin<\/a> as many pints as he wants (for being such a prince and sending me a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.joshuaink.com\/\">JoshuaInk<\/a> badge)<\/li>\n<li>Meet (in person) the wonderful people I&#8217;ve gotten to know online this year including the famous #$%@caster.<\/li>\n<li>Give all my SXSW friends a great big <a href=\"http:\/\/kurafire.net\/log\/archive\/2006\/04\/19\/best-and-worst-of-sxsw-interactive-2006?highlight=huggable\">huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuug<\/a>! (who knew I would only have to wait three months to get a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hicksdesign.co.uk\/journal\/\">hicks<\/a> fix?)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just a quick note to say I&#8217;m headed to Europe for adventure, romance and museum technology.
