I’ve learned a lot about Leukemia since my dear friend John Slatin<\/a> was diagnosed last year. John was fortunate to find that his brother was a match for bone marrow donation. Did you know, only 30% of patients find a match within their family? That means 70% of leukemia patients rely on people like you and me to join the Bone Marrow Registry<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Is this your once in a lifetime opportunity to help someone live?<\/strong> Registry is simple. Here are the steps:<\/p>\n

  1. Be age 18-60 and meet the health guidelines<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Complete a questionnaire and sign a form to join the registry<\/li>\n
  3. Swab the inside of your cheek to provide a sample for tissue typing<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Simple, painless and priceless. And did you realize that 90% of donors donate stem cells though a process that is very similar to donating blood? <\/p>\n

    We will also have information on Team in Training (TNT)<\/a>, a marathon that raises money to help fight leukemia, lymphoma and mylema. <\/p>\n
