Living Inside a Movie

Is it just me? Or do you feel like you are living inside a movie as you wander through your day with your MP3’s overflowing in your ears? Does the music color your vision?

I find that my life looks different depending on what track I choose. The music sets the tone for the scene I’m living. And the ideas that flow are amplified by the spirit of the song.

I feel a dialogue occuring between what I see, what I hear and what I imagine…as I dance through my life. Now, if I can just remember not to sing at the top of my lungs!

  1. My rides to and from work are a soundtrack. On the way to work, it’s usually something upbeat and loud (love my new stereo system..you will to…you can plug your iPod into it and control it through the deck) so that I can wake up by singing and seat dancing on my way in. On the way home, it tends to be a little more mellow to curb the road rage.

Always sing at the top of your lungs…unless you’re in a convertible or riding a motorcycle. ;)

  2. Awwww, will you let me try riding on the back of your motorcycle and singing at the top of my lungs? Pretty please? We could sing something from the Ramones. Or perhaps Gedi Duro (sp?).

  3. I’m more than happy to take you for a spin, and you can sing at the top of your lungs as we careen our way through River Oaks. Bear in mind, though, screaming is one of the things that may backfire when you’re wearing a full-face helmet. Other activities to reconsider in that case are sneezing and spitting out your gum.

You should hear my Punk Mix. It kind of spans a few decades, starting with six Ramones tunes and culminating with Green Day and Good Charlotte. And yes…I still have my Gedi Duroe 45.
